About Oconee Cares Inc.

After years of hearing people wishing they had a local group they could donate to in order to help people suffering from a fire.

It was decided to create Oconee Cares Inc. to address the issue. Oconee Cares In. is a non-profit registered with the state of South Carolina with the South Carolina Secretary of State.

We kept hearing that the Red Cross only gives people a place to stay for 3 days which is great compared to not having anything. Our goal is to try and make it where someone has a full 30 days of somewhere to live. Hopefully, in 30 days they will have enough money to get a place to stay and move in.

We have other goals to help the community as well, but that was the primary focus when the non-profit was created.
